• FIELD REPORT

  On the Set of PAYBACK
  Chattsworth, California, 06.10.04

  I was in porn valley this weekend and on the set of a new upcoming (scripted) feature from Sin City Entertainment called Payback.  The cast included Hannah Harper, Britney Skye, Justine Joli and raincoater favorite Aurora Snow.  Francois Clouset (Arrowhead, Summer Wind,  The Bachelors) directed.

  I missed most of the dialog sessions and was only there for one (of two) shooting days so I'll have to defer to Sin City's synopsis:

  Daniel is the alpha shark of the waters, a lawyer with no conscience, not even among his peers.  Unfortunately for Daniel, his personality has forced some of his colleagues and his lovers to conspire against him, resulting in his untimely demise.  But all is not lost as Daniel is given a second chance…a chance for revenge.

   

  Payback is the story of a man with no redeeming qualities and the women that once loved him.  The conspiracy that ensues leaves no one innocent as Daniel comes back for revenge.  Daniel’s vengeance is served in the form of a woman, Jackie, and she is pissed.  As Jackie picks through her murderous lovers one by one, she looses sight of what her purpose is and falls for the one man she originally set out to destroy in her previous life as Daniel.

  Three sex scenes were scheduled on Thursday, but sadly, I only saw two of them.  Myself (and all the other press reps) were distracted by the NBA Playoff game in the family room.  The Lakers were going down in flames against the Pistons in Detroit.  Evan Stone was providing funny commentary which helped eased everyone's pain.  While we were engrossed with the game, Francois was serendipitously filming one of the sex scenes upstairs.  I know, I know ... some of you are probably thinking, "Man, if I was there, there's no way I would miss one of the sex scenes!"  But hey, in our defense it wasn't all guys hanging out.  Slinky Aurora Snow was lounging on the sofa and a other few cuties were in close proximity also.  Aurora is a major distraction, in a good way!

   

  

   

  Here's what I did see.  First, an energetic, outdoor romp featuring English blond Hannah Harper and Evan Stone.  This scene was filmed as the sun was setting so the light was flattering to the performers.  The location of this shoot was a beautiful, private estate overlooking the entire city near the ridge that separates San Fernando from Simi Valley (Topanga Canyon Avenue and the 118 Freeway).

   

  

   

  The other scene was an entertaining girl/girl scene that paired Hannah with Justine Joli, a perky redhead (at present) who I found intriguing.  This scene was filmed indoors utilizing a wet bar.  Carefully crafted lighting and a fog machine added to the atmosphere in this scene.

   

  

   

  I also witnessed some of the non-sex footage being recording including the dramatic segment where the main character meets his fate.  Surprisingly, this proved to be some of the most challenging footage of the evening -- especially for the talent (of both sexes).  Clouset employed some creative and clever camera angles to tell the story here.

   

  

   

  While on the set, I also had the opportunity to interview Aurora Snow and Justine Joli.  Both starlets were friendly and open.  Look for the transcripts on SRR later this year!  I also plan to post a gallery with more behind the scenes photos from the Payback set.

  The release date for Payback is still to be determined.  Shopping links will be posted here when more information is available.
