Max Does the Stars #02 - "Before they were superstars, they were Max super whores!"

EXP/Max Hardcore, d. Max Hardcore, 2006 (compilation release date), 101 minutes, featuring Olivia, Briana Banks (aka Mirage), Queeny Love, Leanni Lei, Jade Marcela, Anastasia Blue, Alysin Embers. 

Max mines his vaults again by re-releasing six scenes from his extensive back catalog on this compilation disc.  The scenes here were shot between 1999 to 2001.  During this period Max was not as extreme as he is today, with more emphasis on straight butt fucking and less emphasis on "euro" footage that never makes it onto the USA versions anyway.  Although it's a bit of a stretch to describe all the girls here as "superstars" of porn, some of them are more well known than the average Max model. 

Briana Banks (aka Mirage) is probably the biggest star here.  She was featured as Penthouse Pet of the Month in June of 2001 and later went on to be a Vivid contract girl.  The skinny, leggy blond gets sodomized on Max's yellow patio sofa in typical Max fashion.  Lots of reverse cowgirl footage while Briana makes faces of anguish.  Toward the end of the scene, Max briefly fucks her twat at the same time with his favorite red dildo before glazing her messy face.

In retrospect, it seems clear that Leanni was a starlet that possessed the porn "X-factor."  It's hard to pin it down precisely, but her secret sauce goes a long way in this unforgettable scene.  Leanni sparkles in her role as a bubbly cheerleader and Max milks the odd contrast between innocence and whoredom for every last drop.  Leanni takes Max's cock up her ass in multiple positions and looks absolutely fabulous in all of them.  The scene ends with a gooey upside down facial.

The other "don't miss" scene on this collection stars Asian hottie Jade Marcela and blond Anastasia Blue.  Max nails both of these extremely nasty girls in his motor home.  Each chick takes it up the rump and there's plenty of slobber, a2ogm and rimming action for raincoaters.  The scene ends on a kinky note with Max jerking off on Jade's pink holes, nicely on display with dual speculums.  Then Anastasia sucks cream via a tube from Jade's ass and the girls swap the faux cum.   

The other three scenes, with Queeny Love, Alysin Embers and Olivia contain more of the same Max antics.  In passing, cover girl Olivia, with her ridiculous large bolt-ons, bleached big blond hair and spacey behavior is perhaps the most perfect dancer, bimbo type Max has ever shot.

Imation's DVD Media with "Forcefield" Scratch Resistant Coating

I picked up a few packs of Imation's new blank DVD media with "Forcefield" protective coating at Target the other night on clearance.  I have been reading about TDK's "armor plated" discs for a few years, but never saw them stocked anywhere.  I didn't even know Imation got into the game until now.  It was also surprising they were on clearance already.  Maybe Target shoppers are not very sophisicated when it comes to media selection? Perhaps they are just plain cheap?  You can get 10 right now for just $7.79 including slim line jewel cases!

At any rate, Forcefield coated discs are harder than normal discs and resist scratching and scuff marks.  They also do not attract dust and are much easier to remove fingerprints from.  I'm all for more reliable recording media and think it's a wise investment to spend a little more for the peace of mind that comes from a more durable disc.  It doesn't take much to render a disc totally unusable.  It's happened to me plenty of times.  When you think about how precious the data stored on the discs is why take chances?  These type of discs are also awesome for uses where you just know they are likely to get abused -- discs for the car, discs for travel, discs that will be handled frequently, discs intended for children.  If you don't want to drive to Target, Amazon stocks them at a reasonable price.  Click for the DVD-R variety (30 pack spindle) or DVD+R variety.  They also made blank CD-Rs with Forcefield protection as well.

Those wacky anti-porn pastors (Mike Foster & Craig Gross) at the XXX Church are in the news again.  The stated purpose of the website  is to, "to bring awareness, openness, accountability and recovery to the church, society and individuals in the issues of pornography and to begin to provide solutions through non-judgmental and creative means. XXXchurch is here to make you think, react and to decide where you stand on the issues of porn. We're not here to sling mud, but to shove the envelope and try and do some good." 

I gotta hand it to these guys, they have a knack for attracting controversy and publicity.  This time they came up with the brilliant idea of handing out copies of the New Testament at adult conventions like AEE show in Vegas every January.  But not just any Bibles!  The pastors wanted to distribute custom bibles with the message, "Jesus Loves Porn Stars" printed on the front cover.  However, they ran into a major, unexpected stumbling block when their prepaid order for 10,000 copies was rejected by The American Bible Society. 

According to the publisher, the pastors' mission is appreciated, but felt the words "Jesus loves porn stars" were "misleading and inappropriate".  Pastor Mike disagreed, and was quoted in the LA Times as follows:

"We think this goes with the central message of the gospel and Jesus loves you regardless of your profession," the statement read. This is not about shock tactics, this is about trying to get the word of God to places most say would be impossible but we have found a way to do it." XXX Church is still hopeful someone will publish the books ... ***  "This is about the message of love and grace and compassion to the people we don't like in the Christian world.   ***  ...  Maybe we need to think outside the box to maybe help these people...  ***  ...  Yeah, the cover's out there; it's controversial, it's provocative, it's wacky. But it's to draw attention to the content. If people have that book in their hands, it's a good thing." 

Amen!  I don't agree with everything Pastor Mike and Craig say, but their hearts are in the right place.  These goofy guys maintain an interesting web blog here.

With the slogan, "Not even once", The Montana Meth Project has been doing some serious preaching of their own, but on the evils of methamphetamine, not porn.  The organization has put together a collection of chilling advertisements on the realities of meth addiction.  Some say these kind of scare tactics are ineffective -- merely modern versions of the "scary" driver's ed films with titles like "Red Asphalt".  Anyone who ever went to a high school party in the past thirty years knows how well that message stuck.  But these "hard-hitting risk and consequence" ads have taken the "art" to a whole new level.  At least for me, they would make me think twice before getting involved in meth.  Here's my favorite (if you can call it that).

I didn't get much editing done on the first Blue Syren release this weekend, but I did march forward with the studio in other ways.  I secured web hosting for upcoming Blue Syren Productions website, got the ball rolling for a credit card billing solution, and registered another domain name that I may want to use (www.bluesyrenxxx.com).  The new domain is a little shorter than www.bluesyrenproductions.com, which could come in handy in case I want to plaster it across some porno babe's chest or buns in the future.  See, I'm always thinking ahead!

I've started a MySpace page now.  Not so much because I like MySpace, but more for the purposes of networking and promotion.  There are a lot of adult industry people on there.  I will still mostly continue to blog here because I much prefer Xanga.  I think MySpace is a confusing mess!  I could use some more "friends" on MySpace, especially the type that leave comments.  =)

The first Blue Syren release is currently in "post production".  For you non-filmmaker types, that means I am editing the footage and authoring the DVD. 

     

I purchased a new super fast computer with to handle this task better.  I got a HP Windows XP box (1350n) at Fry's with AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core running at 4200.  Right now it has a rebate for $50 -- yay! There are some slightly faster models, but as far as prices go, I think this is the sweet spot right now.  Basically, it's like having two processors working together on one chip!  You can learn more about it here on the excellent AMD site.  There was a time when AMD was always playing catch up to Intel, but now the situation seems reversed.  I jacked up the stock 1 gig of memory to 2 gigs.  So far I'm pretty pleased with the performance!  It handles video editing quite nicely so far.  As more and more software is released that takes advantage of 64 bit chips and the dual core chips, I expect it will only get better!

I am editing the movie with Adobe Premiere Elements 2.0.  So far it is working swell.  I'm new to video editing but this program is making it fairly painless to get up to speed.  Nor has it crashed on me (knock on wood) unlike most video software I tried in years past.  Although it is marketed to "home users", it uses the same engine as Premiere Professional and has a lot of advanced features.  I have the full version of Premiere Production Studio here if I need it, but I don't wish to struggle with all its complexity and nuances for the time being.  I'm anxious to actually jump in and get something done.  Most people simply don't need all the high end features found in the top shelf software packages.

I've also recently discovered ACID -- lol, not the drug, the awesome music editing and creation program from Sony (and originally developed by Sound Forge).  If you never tried it, it's kinda like a fancy music construction kit based on loops.  Loops are short, previously recorded music samples usually from just one instrument.  It's fun and easy to create music that sounds pretty good, even if you can't play anything yourself.  The program has the ability to incorporate your own music also if you have those kind of skills.  If anyone has some loop collection recommendations, I'd be interested in hearing about them.  I am especially interested in ambient textures and sounds for video projects that would be good as understated background music.  Sony gives away a free but crippled version of the software called ACID Xpress on the ACIDPlanet website.  If you are on a budget, a better bet might be Sony's ACID Music Studio, a scaled down version of the "pro" version that goes for a bit over $50 on Amazon.

Are you interested in adult DVDs but don't know where to start?  It's easy to be confused and overwhelmed with so many titles being released each month.  One of my partner sites -- Adult Video Universe -- compiles a list of  current top sellers.  As AVU puts it, can all these pervs be wrong?  I've only seen one on the list, but I'll provide some general comments that may be helpful.  Here's the top five sellers right now.

1.  Don't Tell Daddy - 10 pack dvd, Acid Rain.  This is an amazing deal.  I'm not surprised it is #01!  You get fifty hours of recent, hardcore gonzo scenes on ten discs for just $16.99.  That's just $1.69 a disc folks.  You can't go wrong really if you want maximum stroke value.

2.  Jenna in the Middle, Wicked Pictures.  This is a four hour compilation disc from Wicked, who produces adult content similar to Vivid.  It contains 19 full length scenes with a wide variety of stars.  It appears that most of the scenes are three ways and some feature Jeanna, a popular blond who is the Barbie type.  Personally, I'm not a big fan of Jenna since many of her scenes are "vanilla" snoozers.

3.  Award Winning Sex Scenes #02, Vivid.  This is another four hour compilation, but from Vivid.  I guess all the scenes on this disc won some kind of award.  However, be aware that many adult industry awards are highly political and Vivid scenes are tamer than many companies.  Plus, porn is very subjective and more and more titles are released each year.  I rarely agree with the award nominations.

4.  Pirates, Digital Playground.  This is a big budget adult project co produced by Adam & Eve.  It's an ambitious attempt to bring mainstream hollywood production values to porn.  The movie was shot on HD and contains "over 300 special effects" and a "professional script."   Think "Pirates of the Caribbean" but with ten sex scenes and you got the idea.  Female talent-wise, this movie leans heavily toward Digital Playground's contract girls, Devon: Devon, Jessie Jane, Janine and Carmen Luvana.  Maybe it's just me, but I think contract girls are often boring.  Maybe once they are signed, they just aren't hungry any more and all the zip goes out of their performances.  Customer reviews of this title are generally favorable.  If you dig features, this one is worth checking out.

5.  Strokin' to the Oldies -- Vanessa Del Rio, VCA.  The "Strokin' to the Oldies" series by VCA mostly focuses on classic scenes from the 80's.  In the 80's Vanessa Del Rio was a slutty porn superstar with a huge clit.  However, by today's standards, she was relatively tame and rarely performed anal.  I never found her especially attractive.  Her best role was probably in the Dark Brothers' Devil in Miss Jones #03 which is highly recommended.
